The wooden sole is perceived as the truly original clog concept - that preserves the clog's integrity and uniqueness. Wood combined with the traditional stapled construction is also very popular because of the simplicity of design. At Sanita they prefer using solid lime tree's for the sole, mainly because lime is very easy to shape into an anatomically contoured footbed for the best possible fit and comfort - and it doesn't split. The slightly recessed heel cup matches the heel's profile and the raised wood arch supports the instep. It is anatomicallly contoured for the natural support and a perfect fit. The rounded toe follows the natural line of the foot.
